How it works for providers
Getting started is simple. Here is what to expect.
Complete a short application
Provide your credentials, ABN and insurance details. We review every application to ensure quality.
Create your provider profile and list services
Set up your profile, describe your services and set your fees and availability. Mark which services may be covered by private health insurance.
Families find and book you using their Hushy wallet
Parents browse the network, see your profile and book directly. Funds are locked in their wallet at the time of booking.
Mark sessions complete and record any insurance rebate
After each session, confirm completion. If the client has private health cover, enter the rebate received and the gap amount. Payment is released to your account.
How payouts work
Wallet funds are held securely
When a family loads their Hushy Wallet, the funds are held in a secure system.
Booking locks the session amount
When a parent books with you, the full session fee is locked in their wallet as a conservative hold.
Complete the session and record the outcome
After you deliver the session, mark it complete. If the client has private health cover, enter the rebate you received from the health fund and the remaining gap.
Payment is released to your bank
Hushy releases the gap payment (or full fee if no insurance) to your nominated bank account, minus a small fee. Any unused locked funds are returned to the parent's wallet.
About private health insurance
Hushy does not process private health insurance claims. You submit any eligible claims to the health fund as usual. After the session, you record the rebate received and the remaining gap. Hushy then pays you the gap amount from the parent's wallet, minus a small Hushy fee.
All insurance claim actions remain between you, your client and their health fund. Hushy is purely a funding tool for out of pocket costs.
